Scapula F with integrated brake: The ultimate in fork design

Scapula F unites excellent braking efficiency and perfect aerodynamics for low air resistance thanks to the use of a totally integrated V brake. "F" stands for "frenum" which in Latin means "brake".

The narrow design with brake levers nearly invisibly integrated in the deep fork blades confer the Scapula F a particularly low air resistance (cw value). Air resistance is the main factor of power requirement when riding at high speed on a level surface.

Basically the design of this brake is identical to that of a V brake as already tried and proven in the MTB sector. This design has been further developed for use on a racing bike. A return spring is no longer required.
Brakes are totally made from carbon fibres and fixed to the fork inside. These design features ensure an extreme rigidity of the levers and confer the brake system excellent reaction properties.

With only 340 g the Scapula F has a weight which most of forks do not even reach without brake. On slopes it’s the weight to be the main factor of power requirement.

Scapula F has - like its sister Scapula SP - an extrem specific lateral rigidity. This feature and the excellent braking properties considerably improve safety and stability when riding.
